Alaska National is one of the approved insurance carriers for the Alaska's Workers Compensation Insurance Plan. The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) in partnership with the State of Alaska has created performance standards to meet the requirements of Regulators, Policyholders and most of all Injured Workers. In addition to performance standards there are state regulations, Compliance guides, Plan rules and statues which Alaska National must be responsible for and abide by. Alaska National's commitment to service and these Plan standards help create a healthy workers' compensation system for Alaska.
If you have been declined by a carrier or cannot obtain Workers' Compensation insurance through standard insurance markets, the Alaska Assigned Risk Plan could be an option to make sure you meet state laws. In order to obtain coverage please contact your local insurance agent or the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) to obtain coverage in the Alaska Assigned Risk Plan. NCCI can be reached at www.ncci.com or 800-622-4123.
