Effective February 1, 2012, we are providing Identity Recovery Coverage to all of Alaska National’s Package, Property, and General Liability accounts at no additional premium (i.e. FREE). Coverage is provided to specifically designated key management individuals in the insured organization. There are no eligibility requirements for this coverage and there is no application required.

General Reinsurance Company provides support to Alaska National on our Commercial Umbrella policies. They have concluded a study of real accidents arising from commercial automobiles that have been involved in significant insurance claims. These claims illustrate that the ultimate severity of an automobile accident is somewhat unpredictable and the exposure of these can generate an extremely large settlement.

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Lisa Cooley to head the Inland Marine underwriting operations at the company. Lisa Cooley joins us after years of experience working with Allianz Global, RLI Insurance Company and Commonwealth Insurance Company. She will be based in Seattle, but will be working with our offices in Seattle, Boise, Anchorage and San Francisco.
